The American Enterprise project seeks to educate the public about America's free-market system. Each year, MVFBLA members plan and execute a project that achieves this purpose. Past projects have included Simply Biz-E, where MVFBLA members held business etiquette workshops for the community, and social business plan development, in which members educated the community about the various aspects of social businesses. Through the American Enterprise project, members of both MVFBLA and the community become more knowledgeable about the capitalist system that enables entrepreneurship in our country.
In supporting the America's free-enterprise system, this year's topic will be job careers. Members will be able to learn about the various departments in an American Enterprise--finance, technology, marketing, etc. Speakers, member presentations, and fun activities will be a significant portion of the project.
Each month, a survey will be given to the members to see what they want to experience this month. Members will be able to decide what the monthly topic will be, what activities they would like to do, and what presentation they would like to see!
The project will have a monthly newsletter (On the Job), project website (www.onthejobonline.org), and an end-of-the-year Job Fair.
